Business Imec and Micron extend process development to sub-10nm

Imec and Micron have extended their joint development agreement to 10nm proceses and smaller.

“We are elated to further extend and broaden our collaboration with Micron,” said Luc Van den hove, imec president and ceo. “Our research environment harnesses the collective expertise and knowledge of the entire value chain, bringing together foundries, integrated device manufacturers, fabless and fablite companies, packaging and assembly companies, and equipment and material suppliers to drive innovation and the development of new, competitive products.”

Scott DeBoer, vp of R&D for Micron, added: “We look forward to continuing our partnership with imec, exploring new device concepts and new materials that have the potential to enable advanced memory solutions for Micron in the future.”
