IWC Red Gold Chronograph and the IWC Portuguese Automatic

The well-received Portuguese collection was enriched by two new models recently: the IWC red gold chronograph and the IWC Portuguese Automatic. The former, featuring warm color tones, is the the seventh variation in the IWC Portuguese Chronograph collection, while the latter with horizontally aligned subdials is the fifth variation of the Portuguese Automatic. Both models are nice choices for daily wearing.

The Portuguese collection reserved a room for chronographs was based on the fact that precision timing was as essential as navigation skills to the Portuguese seafarers. And the IWC red gold chronograph comes with handsome looking the line has been famous for and houses the 79350 calibre that ensures fabulous accuracy for the watch thanks to the rapid frequency of 28,800vph. And the watch carries the iconic features of a Portuguese watch. It has embossed Arabic numerals, tapering swallow-style hands and recessed subdials for the minutes and seconds counters. And the retailed price of IWC red gold chronograph goes for $18,000.

Like other IWC Portuguese Automatic watches, the new variation is sized at 42mm and is done in fine polished stainless steel case. The silver dial is complemented by yellow gold markers and comes with traditional small seconds hand and seven-day power reserve indicator. Beating inside the watch is the IWC Caliber 51011 calibre which is the brand's biggest automatic on the market. This movement is equipped with the brand's unique Pellaton winding system and delivers adorable 7 day power reserve. The new IWC Portuguese Automatic costs $13,500.

I believe no people will say no before such handsome watches, but few can pay the huge amounts without a wink.
